Election of a new committee members

Main Agenda / Agenda Penting:

1) Explanation about Vision and Mission of FIAT Youth Bintulu

• Vision and Mission that had been made by Fr. Michael Jok
• To gather every youth from Limbang, Miri, Bintulu, Belaga, Tatau and Sebauh as an active youth that contribute to the church.
• Therefore, these groups of youth are call FIAT which stands for Faith in Action Together
  

2) Discussion about FIAT as a whole

• FIAT itself means F = Faith, I = In, A = Action, T = Together
• Faith in Action Together also really mean to FIAT, in which every youth shall become:
  ONE, HOLY, CATHOLIC & APOSTOLIC
  
• Therefore, FIAT taking action of those words by organizing activities in which involved all youth from each parish and diocese such as MYD (Miri Youth Day)
• FIAT is conducted in 2 languages, mainly in Bahasa Malaysia & English
• However, FIAT has its own union and will explain in the below chart

• FIAT main target is to increase the number of young professional to get involve in the FIAT youth ministry. This group is believe to be the hardest among all group to be invited into FIAT and get involve in activities that will be organized by FIAT committee. In the other hand, students (range from form 1 till form 5) is the easiest one to be engross into FIAT
• Rev. Fr. John Chia also suggested the new committee to be elected for the year 2009 till August 2011. This is to ensure that all activities and administration will run smoothly which involve all committee members.
• Lastly every branch of FIAT also has their own committee and as a result, these committee will be part of FIAT member that link their youth with FIAT Bintulu. This committee will be responsible of announcing and to get youth in their parish to involve in all activities that has been organized by Bintulu FIAT Youth Ministry.
